Rep. Jerry Nadler, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing New York's 12th district, recently expressed his views on social media concerning several political issues. Nadler has been serving in Congress since 1992 after replacing Ted Weiss and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992.
On February 19, 2025, Rep. Nadler addressed House Republicans through a tweet questioning their stance on comments made by Elon Musk and the Trump Administration regarding social safety net programs. He stated: "Hey House Republicans: Do you stand with Elon Musk and the Trump Administration in calling 99 million Americans—30% of the population—parasites? Because that’s how many rely on at least 1 of our 10 major social safety net programs. If not, speak out and condemn this rhetoric."

Later that day, Rep. Nadler criticized arguments made by the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) against congestion pricing. He tweeted: "The arguments presented by @USDOT are utterly baseless and frankly, laughable. Congestion pricing has not only consistently withstood significant legal challenges, emerging victorious in every court decision to date, but it has also become immensely popular among New Yorkers,…"
