Representative Jerry Nadler, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 12th district since 1992, recently shared his concerns and viewpoints on several pertinent issues via social media. Nadler, who has had a long-standing political career since his tenure in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992, made these statements amidst ongoing national and local developments.

On April 10, 2025, Nadler commented on the significance of revising the country's antitrust laws, which he noted have not been updated since the 1950s. He expressed his discontent with the impact of outdated laws on Americans, stating that "big business is screwing over Americans as a result." As the Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Antitrust Subcommittee, Nadler is actively involved in this issue as a founding member of the "Monopoly Busters Caucus." "Our antitrust laws haven’t been updated since the 1950’s, and big business is screwing over Americans as a result".

Later that day, Nadler addressed a tragic event, a helicopter crash in the Hudson River, which he described as both "heartbreaking" and "foreseeable." He expressed his condolences to the families affected by the incident and referred to his earlier warnings about the dangers associated with such occurrences. "I am monitoring the tragic helicopter crash in the Hudson River today, and my thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those lost".

On the following day, April 11, 2025, Nadler voiced his opposition to the confirmation of Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun as Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism with the rank of Ambassador under the Trump Administration. Nadler urged his Democratic colleagues in the Senate to refrain from providing any votes in favor of this appointment, highlighting a perceived irony in the administration's actions. "I urge my Democratic Senate colleagues not to provide the Trump Administration with a single vote to confirm Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun as Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism with the rank of Ambassador".

Jerry Nadler, born in 1947 in New York City, continues to reside in Manhattan. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University. Nadler's extensive career in public service has been shaped by his early work in the New York State Assembly and his subsequent representation of New York's 12th District in Congress.
