The New York Republican State Committee has issued a statement addressing a recent poll indicating that 51% of Democrats are in favor of reelecting Governor Kathy Hochul. The statement criticizes Hochul's leadership, highlighting issues such as rising crime, high living costs, and perceived corruption in Albany.

The NYGOP's statement claims, "Even Democrats are fed up with Kathy Hochul. When only half of your own party wants you back, it’s a flashing red light that your leadership is sinking the state."

The state committee emphasizes that Republicans are motivated and cohesive, preparing to challenge for the Governor's Mansion in the 2026 election. The GOP aims to curb population loss and, as stated, "save New York from the disaster of one-party Democrat rule."
