A trooper attempted to save a bald eagle this morning after it was struck by a vehicle in the town of Candor. The person driving the car did stop and wait for the trooper. Trooper Christian Fulkerson transported the eagle to Cornell but it was too badly injured and had to be euthanized. While this story does not have a happy ending, the trooper did everything he could to save this eagle and his efforts should be recognized.
