Representative Jerry Nadler, serving New York’s 12th Congressional District, has been vocal about a range of issues regarding recent policy decisions coming from the executive branch. In a series of tweets, Nadler expressed his concerns regarding economic and healthcare policies introduced under the administration of former President Donald Trump.
On April 2, 2025, Rep. Nadler addressed recent tax changes in the United States. He referred to "Trump’s crushing tax hikes on American families." Criticizing the Republican response, he claims Republicans have effectively turned a blind eye to what he calls "Trump’s Recession Day," accusing them of canceling votes and leaving work early.
Later that day, Nadler tweeted about issues in the pharmaceutical sector. In his post, he stated, “Pharmacy Benefit Managers are competing to RAISE the price of insulin on Americans.” According to Nadler, Trump's actions included attempting to terminate Federal Trade Commission Commissioners who were critical of Pharmacy Benefit Managers. Nadler warned that this would result in increased insulin costs, negatively impacting American consumers.
On April 3, 2025, Nadler shared a link without additional commentary. The tweet, which can be found here, follows his continuing engagement with policy discussions relevant to his represented district and constituents.
