Representative Jerry Nadler, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 12th district, shared a series of messages on social media recently. Nadler's posts addressed both solemn and hopeful topics as he reflected on Trans Day of Remembrance and introduced new members of the Democratic freshmen in Congress.

On November 20, 2024, Representative Nadler posted about Trans Day of Remembrance. He stated: "Today marks the Trans Day of Remembrance, a day to honor the trans lives taken in acts of violence this year, half of whom were Black trans women." Nadler emphasized that "#TDOR reminds us that vicious anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric inspires these kinds of attacks," calling for kindness towards all neighbors.

The following day, on November 21, 2024, Nadler highlighted his role as the Dean of New York’s congressional delegation by announcing his participation in a significant meeting. He noted: "As the Dean of New York’s congressional delegation, it was my honor to convene our first meeting with our new incoming Democratic freshmen! I look forward to working with this talented group to advance the needs of New Yorkers in Congress." This reflects his ongoing commitment to supporting and guiding new legislative talent within Congress.
