NYGOP Chair Ed Cox has issued a statement regarding the recent report that places New York at the forefront of outmigration in the United States over the past four years. According to Cox, "Under one-party Democrat rule, New York has become the nation’s leading exporter of our most precious resource: our own people." He attributes this trend to high taxes, criminal justice policies he describes as far-left, and an escalating cost of living.

Cox expressed concern about the impact on political representation, noting that "we are on pace to lose three House seats following the 2030 census." He criticized Albany Democrats for their governance, stating, "Albany Democrats are running the state into the ground, and New Yorkers are voting with their feet."

To address these issues, Cox advocates for a change in leadership. He argues that electing Republican leaders is essential to reversing current trends by focusing on economic growth, public safety, and reducing living costs. His vision is to make New York a place where people choose to stay rather than leave.
