Rep. Jerry Nadler, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing New York's 12th district since 1992, has recently shared his perspectives on significant political issues via social media. In a series of tweets dated January 23, 2025, Rep. Nadler addressed topics ranging from the characterization of January 6 rioters to prescription drug pricing policies under former President Donald Trump.

On January 23, Rep. Nadler emphasized the criminal nature of those involved in the January 6 Capitol riot. He stated that these individuals are not "patriots" or "hostages," but rather "dangerous criminals." He cited Daniel Ball as an example, who was convicted for throwing an explosive device at police officers during the event. In another post on January 23, Rep. Nadler criticized former President Donald Trump for failing to deliver on his promise to reduce financial burdens on Americans from day one in office. Instead, he accused Trump of increasing prescription drug costs for millions of Americans. He contrasted this with Democratic efforts by stating that "Democrats stood up to Big Pharma to lower costs." He questioned why Trump did not take similar actions.
