The New York Post Editorial Board has outlined its endorsements for key New York state Senate and Assembly races, emphasizing the Republican aim to secure "super-minorities" in both legislative chambers. The objective is to gain enough seats to counteract what they describe as the progressive wing of the Democratic majorities pushing through a detrimental agenda.

According to the editorial board, the current Democratic supermajorities have contributed to increasing electric bills, potential bans on gas stoves and new gas heating systems. They also attribute rising crime rates, disorder, excessive spending, and escalating taxes to these majorities.
