Mayor Byron W. Brown and The Department of Assessment and Taxation are excited to announce the launch of its new property information website “Buffalo Property Record Card” hosted by Spatialest. After months of development, the new website is active and available at https://property.spatialest.com/ny/buffalo. The Department has discontinued its outdated parcel information search website, Online Assessment Record System (OARS), and transition to a remodeled, more user-friendly tool called the “Buffalo Property Record Card”.
“This new website is another example of how City government is providing residents and business owners with more use-friendly tools to obtain information. I want to thank the Department of Assessment and Taxation and Spatialest for their work on this project that will make access to property information easier for our customers.”
“The goal of this new website is to deliver a product with a fresh new look that is more user-friendly, reliable, and convenient when our customers access property information,” said Jason Shell, Commissioner of Assessment and Taxation.
The new website allows users to access and verify pertinent information relating to their property including: assessed value; owner information; parcel inventory and improvements; sales history; exemptions; comparable neighborhood sales, and much more.
The department asks users to delete any browser shortcuts for the previous property information OARS website. Regular updates will occur to ensure accuracy for any ownership changes and recent sales throughout the year.
