Rep. Jerry Nadler, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing New York's 12th district, has expressed concerns over recent administrative decisions through a series of tweets. On January 22, 2025, Nadler criticized actions by the new administration and former President Donald Trump, focusing on infrastructure funding and immigration policies.

In a tweet posted on January 22, 2025, Rep. Nadler stated that an "entirely avoidable mistake" by the new administration had occurred. He emphasized his commitment to working with "@TransportDems to ensure the flow of essential infrastructure funding to states continues without further delay."

On the same day, Nadler addressed issues stemming from Trump's executive order titled "Unleashing American Energy." He noted that this order had caused significant disruption: "Today, I called out the chaos caused by Trump’s misguided and poorly drafted EO," which led to the shutdown of critical systems at @USDOTFHWA and blocked access to $383 billion in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding for states.

Later that day, Nadler commented on Trump's revival of previous immigration policies. He argued that these measures would not resolve existing problems but rather hinder bipartisan efforts: "With the stroke of a pen, Donald Trump has revived the harsh & inhumane immigration policies of his first administration."
