The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has announced its endorsement of Representative Mike Lawler for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. The endorsement is for New York's 17th Congressional District, with the election scheduled to take place soon.
Ashley Ranslow, NFIB New York State Director, highlighted Lawler's support for small businesses in Congress. "Representative Mike Lawler is an ally for Main Street in Congress," Ranslow stated. She emphasized his 100% voting record with NFIB and his role as a cosponsor of the Main Street Tax Certainty Act, which aims to prevent a significant tax increase on many American small businesses. "We are confident Rep. Lawler will continue working to strengthen the small business economy in New York’s 17th District, and we are proud to endorse him for re-election today."
Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, also expressed support for Lawler's candidacy. "Representative Mike Lawler is a proven advocate for New York’s small businesses," she said. Sussin reiterated the organization's pride in endorsing him and their anticipation of continued collaboration on behalf of small businesses and their communities.
The endorsement was issued by NFIB FedPAC, the political action committee of NFIB. This committee operates on voluntary contributions from NFIB members beyond their membership dues, with decisions managed through grassroots evaluations by its members.
