Under New York State law, all employers must implement a sexual harassment prevention policy and provide annual training to employees. The law mandates that both the policy and training materials be given to each employee upon hiring and annually thereafter.

The New York Department of Labor, in conjunction with the New York State Division of Human Rights, has created a model anti-sexual harassment policy and training program for employers. These resources are designed to assist employers in complying with the state's requirements.
