Data showed the average age for women in New York state in 2021 was on par with the national average of 40 for women. Meanwhile, New York state's male population stands at an average age of 38 years, placing them on par with the US average of 38.

According to census data, women aged 18 and over outnumbered men in the same age group by 145,922, totaling 6,356,556 individuals. Meanwhile, in the 65 and over group, there were 1,451,787 men and 1,878,372 women.
