There were 12 deaths with COVID-19 listed as the underlying cause reported in New York state in the week ending June 24, making up 0.6% of total deaths by all causes in New York state, according to The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In the week ending June 24, there were 1,877 deaths in the state. 24.9% of deaths were caused by heart disease, 20.9% were from cancer and 1.8% were from COVID-19. Additionally, 8.7% of deaths were from Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
