The St. John’s Women’s Basketball program announced the signing of guard Asia Donald, the third-leading scorer in the ASUN Conference, on June 3.

Head Coach Joe Tartamella said, “Asia is a proven scorer who plays with toughness and confidence every time she steps on the floor. She can score at all three levels and brings tenacity at the defensive end of the floor. We’re excited to have her join our program.”

Donald joins St. John’s after leading West Georgia in scoring and ranking third in the ASUN with an average of 14.8 points per game on 44 percent shooting from the field. She helped guide West Georgia to an 18-win season during its second year competing at Division I and began her collegiate career at Indiana State.

During her most recent season, Donald scored in double figures in 26 out of 31 games and recorded five games with more than 20 points, finishing with a total of 460 points—one of the highest single-season totals in West Georgia Women’s Basketball history. Her top performance came against North Alabama, where she scored a career-high 24 points in a four-overtime game, and she also registered a double-double against Lipscomb with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Donald was second on her team in rebounding last season, averaging five boards per game and collecting five or more rebounds in over half her appearances. As a freshman at Indiana State during the 2023-24 season, she played off the bench for all thirty games, averaging 5.6 points per contest.

Before college, Donald attended Hobart High School, where she led Indiana high school players by scoring an average of 26.7 points as a senior while also averaging nearly eleven rebounds per game.
