Seven members of the Cornell women’s ice hockey team were named to the 2026 Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Draft Eligibility list, according to a May 12 announcement. The group includes three forwards, three defenders, and one two-way player. This is the largest number of Cornell players ever listed as eligible for the PWHL draft in the league’s three-year history.

The players named from Cornell are Avi Adam, Georgia Schiff, Mckenna Van Gelder, Alexa Davis, Grace Dwyer, Alyssa Regalado, and Ashley Messier. Their class years range from 2025 to 2026.

The full list of eligible draftees can be found on the official PWHL website. The draft itself will take place on Wednesday, June 17 at Fox Theatre in Detroit, Michigan. The event is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Eastern Time and will be open to fans who have purchased tickets.

Fans can follow coverage of the draft through YouTube and on the official PWHL website where it will be streamed live.

This marks a significant moment for Cornell women’s ice hockey as more players than ever before are being recognized at a national level for their achievements.
