Brandon Washington, also known as B Mack, has pleaded guilty to federal drug and gun charges in Rochester, New York. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo. Washington, 40, admitted to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribute at least 100 kilograms of marijuana, as well as possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. These offenses carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and could result in a maximum life sentence and an $8 million fine.
According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Douglas E. Gregory, Washington conspired with others from May 2021 through July 21, 2022, to operate several drug houses across Rochester. He managed distribution sites on St. Paul and Sixth Street and stored marijuana at two residences on Laser Street. Washington supplied these locations with pre-packaged marijuana for sale and paid individuals to deliver and sell the drugs. Firearms were kept at these locations for protection.
Law enforcement executed multiple search warrants during July 2022 at the various properties linked to the operation. At the St. Paul Street location, officers seized marijuana, scales, drug ledgers, and $8,254 in cash. Searches at the Sixth Street residence resulted in more marijuana seizures along with about $13,390 in cash and four firearms. Another search at a Laser Street stash house uncovered large amounts of packaged marijuana and five firearms; gun traces linked some weapons to shootings that occurred in Rochester during summer 2022. At Washington’s own residence on Laser Street, authorities found more marijuana and over 100 rounds of ammunition; as a convicted felon, he was not allowed to possess ammunition.
The investigation into Washington’s activities began after the murder of Rochester Police Department Investigator Anthony Mazurkewicz and the assault on Investigator Sino Seng during a shooting on July 21, 2022. Mazurkewicz died from his injuries. Co-conspirator Kelvin Vickers was convicted for this murder and received a life sentence. The investigation also addressed a double homicide that took place on July 20, 2021—resulting in the deaths of Richard Collinge and Myjel Rand—for which Vickers, Deadrick Fulwiley, and Raheim Robinson were convicted; Vickers and Robinson were sentenced to life imprisonment while Fulwiley received a 30-year sentence.
U.S. Attorney DiGiacomo said: “The case against Washington and his co-conspirators stemmed from the investigation into the murder of Rochester Police Department Investigator Anthony Mazurkewicz and the assault of Investigator Sino Seng… Co-conspirator Kelvin Vickers was convicted of the murder and sentenced to life in prison.”
The investigation involved collaboration between the Rochester Police Department under Chief David Smith; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives under Special Agent-in-Charge Bryan Miller; and Drug Enforcement Administration under Special Agent-in-Charge Frank A. Tarentino III.
Washington is scheduled for sentencing before Judge Frank P. Geraci Jr., on December 18, 2025.
