U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced that Gregory J. Coco, a 44-year-old business owner from Rochester, has pleaded guilty to filing a false tax return. The plea was entered before U.S. District Judge Meredith A. Vacca and the charge could result in up to three years of imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicholas M. Testani is managing the case against Coco, who owns Century Asphalt Maintenance, a driveway sealing company based in Rochester. According to Testani, between 2017 and 2022, Coco received $2,611,685.57 in payments for services rendered by his company but failed to report all this income on his tax returns. He underreported his earnings by $1,704,556.57 and consequently did not pay $456,683 in taxes owed to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

The investigation leading to Coco’s plea was conducted by the IRS Criminal Investigations Division under Special Agent in Charge Harry Chavis.

Coco’s sentencing is set for October 7, 2025, before Judge Vacca.
