Jerry Nadler, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 12th district since 1992, has raised concerns on social media about recent U.S. foreign aid decisions and ongoing humanitarian issues in Gaza, while also highlighting his legislative work on art restitution.
On July 31, 2025, Nadler criticized the Trump administration’s actions regarding aid to Gaza. He stated, “The people of Gaza are experiencing an unspeakable humanitarian catastrophe. Nadler has represented New York’s 12th district in Congress since replacing Ted Weiss in 1992. Before serving in Congress he was a member of the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. Born in New York City in 1947 and currently residing in Manhattan at age 75, Nadler holds degrees from Columbia University (BA) and Fordham University (JD).
