Later the same day, he addressed concerns regarding Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun’s nomination as Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism with ambassadorial rank. Nadler tweeted at 13:52:38 UTC that “As I warned immediately upon the announcement of his nomination…” He emphasized that recent revelations have confirmed his stance against Kaploun’s suitability for the role.

In another tweet posted at 16:09:53 UTC on May 16, Nadler reflected on celebrating Jewish American Heritage Month with Democratic Caucus colleagues. As Co-Chair of the Congressional Jewish Caucus, he highlighted that “the American Jewish community has become part of the essential fabric of the United States.

Jerry Nadler has been serving in Congress since 1992 after replacing Ted Weiss. Before this role, he was a member of the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. Born in New York City in 1947, Nadler resides in Manhattan and holds degrees from Columbia University and Fordham University.
