Rep. Jerry Nadler has expressed strong opinions on various issues through his recent tweets. As a longtime member of the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 12th District, Nadler continues to engage with policy matters that impact his constituents and the broader national agenda.

On April 21, 2025, Nadler criticized former President Trump’s budget, stating, “Trump’s budget would reportedly eliminate all federal HIV prevention efforts and slash research funding, risking lives and turning back the clock on decades of progress. I won’t let that happen. Read my full statement below.” His stance highlights a commitment to opposing budget cuts that he believes could endanger public health and reverse efforts in HIV prevention.

In another tweet dated April 22, 2025, Nadler addressed urban logistics, saying, “Every day, thousands of delivery trucks clog our streets, creating gridlock, pollution, and safety hazards delivering packages and small goods ordered online.” He suggested microhubs as a solution, noting, “Microhubs offer a better way forward. They allow deliveries to be consolidated and completed via cargo bikes and small vehicles.” This comment underscores his advocacy for environmentally sustainable solutions to urban congestion.

Jerry Nadler, who has represented New York’s 12th District since 1992, having replaced Ted Weiss, has an extensive political career. Born in 1947 in New York City, Nadler has been an active political figure since his tenure in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. His academic background includes degrees from Columbia University and Fordham University.
