Rep. Jerry Nadler, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 12th district, has recently addressed several key issues through his social media platform. On June 9 and June 10, he shared updates on initiatives concerning community safety, public health policy changes, and upcoming constituent engagement.
On June 9, Nadler expressed solidarity with Jewish leaders following recent violent incidents targeting the Jewish community. He stated: “In the wake of the recent violent attacks against Jews, I was proud to stand with my colleagues and Jewish communal leaders this morning to advocate for an increase to the Nonprofit Security Grant Program to protect the physical safety of the Jewish community.”
Later that day, Nadler criticized actions taken by RFK Jr., regarding changes within a significant health advisory committee. He remarked: “RFK Jr. just purged the CDC’s vaccine advisory committee—removing every independent expert and pledging to install handpicked loyalists.” He noted this move as a departure from prior commitments made during RFK Jr.’s confirmation hearings.
On June 10, Nadler invited constituents to participate in an upcoming town hall meeting. He announced: “Please join me next Tuesday, June 17th for a town hall with NYS Senator @LizKrueger at Hunter College.” This event aims to provide updates on his work in Washington and gather input on local concerns.
