Jerry Nadler, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 12th district since 1992, has recently posted on his Twitter account about ongoing legislative and oversight activities, including an inquiry into a major tech acquisition and support for new Senate legislation.
On August 4, 2025, Nadler stated: “ICYMI: @RepRaskin and I sent a letter on Friday demanding @AGPamBondi provide information about HPE’s acquisition of Juniper, based on reporting that suggests the Trump Administration overrode their own Antitrust Division officials who opposed the deal. We must know if the DOJ”. This tweet references a letter seeking clarity from Attorney General Pam Bondi regarding allegations that Department of Justice antitrust officials were overruled during Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s (HPE) acquisition of Juniper Networks under the Trump administration.

On August 5, 2025, Nadler addressed legislative developments in Congress: “I warmly welcome the introduction of the Senate companion to my West Bank Violence Prevention Act and I thank @SenBooker, along with @SenatorShaheen, @SenJackReed, @MarkWarner, @ChrisCoons, and @SenatorBennet for leading this effort in the Senate. As I have said many times,”. Here he expressed appreciation for senators introducing a companion bill to his proposed legislation addressing violence in the West Bank.
Nadler has been active in Congress since replacing Ted Weiss in 1992 and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. He was born in New York City in 1947 and resides in Manhattan. Nadler is an alumnus of Columbia University and Fordham University School of Law.
