Rep. Jerry Nadler, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 12th district since 1992, recently shared a series of posts on social media reflecting on significant moments in recent American history and his perspective on current political issues.

On September 5, 2025, Nadler posted: “Watch my comments on our response to 9/11: https://t.co/8eQh5f2nCF”. Later that day, he followed with another post: “Watch my reflections on the impeachment of Trump: https://t.co/AZg92gdYFn”.

In a third post made the same afternoon, Nadler addressed concerns about constitutional norms and party politics. He wrote: “As I told @ErrolLouis, the Trump Administration has been subverting key Constitutional provisions: civil liberties, spending power, and undermining Congress. Republicans have no backbone when it comes to standing up to Trump and will do what he asks at the drop of a hat.”

Nadler has served in Congress since replacing Ted Weiss in 1992 and previously held office in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. Born in New York City in 1947 and currently residing in Manhattan, Nadler holds degrees from Columbia University (BA) and Fordham University (JD).
