Rep. Jerry Nadler, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 12th district since 1992, posted a series of messages on August 5, 2025, highlighting his ongoing legislative and community activities.
In an early post that day, Nadler shared a link without further comment: https://t.co/itsp62biXg (August 5, 2025).
Later in the afternoon, he invited constituents to participate in an educational event about immigration rights: “Please join me, @SenatorHoylman, @LindaBRosenthal, and @MicahLasher for a Know Your Rights workshop with @NYCLU at B’nai Jeshurun on Thursday at 6:30pm. It is essential we know how to protect our neighbors when ICE is in our community.” (August 5, 2025).
That evening, Nadler addressed health care concerns during a meeting with the National Council of Jewish Women New York: “On this #JewishDayofAction I met with @NCJW NY. I am proud they are standing with me as we fight against the Big Ugly Law that will kick millions of people off their health insurance, shut down hospitals across the country, and raise costs for Americans. I will continue to do” (August 5, 2025).
Nadler has represented New York’s 12th district since replacing Ted Weiss in Congress in 1992. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. Born in New York City in 1947 and currently residing in Manhattan at age 75, Nadler holds degrees from Columbia University and Fordham University.
