Rep. Jerry Nadler, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 12th district since 1992, announced a series of legislative and funding achievements in a set of posts on February 13, 2026.
In his first post that day, Nadler highlighted recent federal funding secured for local initiatives: “I am proud to have fought for and secured over $12 million for community projects across New York City. These projects will improve accessibility, preserve history, upgrade affordable housing, and modernize our parks.” (February 13, 2026).
Later the same day, Nadler criticized the current administration’s approach to public health policy: “Donald Trump, RFK Jr., and ‘Dr.’ Oz’s anti-science regime is once again turning to pseudoscience over safety. Instead of even allowing the possibility of a new flu shot, the administration is shirking its responsibility to public health and safety, in the wake of a historically” (February 13, 2026).
Nadler also noted recognition for his work on animal welfare issues: “Honored to receive a perfect score on the 2025 Humane Scorecard. As a proud sponsor of legislation to prohibit cruel body-gripping traps and a resolution opposing elective cat declawing, I will always fight for our animal friends in the wild and at home.” (February 13, 2026).
Jerry Nadler has served as a member of Congress since replacing Ted Weiss in 1992. He previously served in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. Born in New York City in 1947 and currently residing in Manhattan, Nadler holds degrees from Columbia University and Fordham University.
