Jerry Nadler has served as a member of Congress since 1992 after replacing Ted Weiss. Before his tenure in Congress, he was part of the New York State Assembly from 1977 until his congressional election. Born in New York City in 1947 and currently residing in Manhattan at age 75, Nadler holds degrees from Columbia University (BA) and Fordham University (JD).
