Rep. Jerry Nadler, a U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 12th district since 1992, has criticized the Trump Administration’s handling of unexpired contraceptives and highlighted concerns over rental housing practices in recent posts on his official Twitter account.
On July 24, 2025, Nadler wrote, “It’s beyond absurd that the Trump Administration is spending $167,000 to burn $10 million in unexpired contraceptives while rejecting offers from countries and NGOs to get them to people in need. This isn’t just a waste of taxpayer money, it’s a cruel, ideological decision that https://t.co/ZU1o6fqKb4”. He followed up with another post containing only a link: “https://t.co/rqys53PRgJ”.
Later the same day, Nadler addressed issues in the rental market. He posted, “This morning, I hosted a briefing on Rental Housing and Algorithmic Collusion to shine a spotlight on how landlords are colluding using algorithms that share nonpublic and competitively sensitive information, which artificially drives up already high rent prices across the”.
Nadler has served as a member of Congress for over three decades after first being elected in 1992 following service in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. He was born in New York City in 1947 and currently resides in Manhattan. His academic background includes degrees from Columbia University and Fordham University.
