Rep. Jerry Nadler, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 12th district since 1992, recently used his social media account to voice criticism of federal agencies and the Trump Administration’s infrastructure policies.
On February 2, 2026, Nadler posted a message on X stating, “Not surprising the leader of the American Gestapo is blatantly antisemitic. But, it is shameful he still has a job.”
The following day, on February 3, 2026, Nadler addressed infrastructure funding in another post: “The Trump Administration is illegally withholding congressionally approved funds for the Gateway Tunnel. This is the most important infrastructure project in the country, we will never stop fighting until it’s fully funded and complete.”
Later that same day, Nadler commented on public perceptions regarding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), writing: “This is BS. I’m not calling on citizens to shoot ICE. I’m calling on ICE to stop shooting citizens. ICE is a rogue agency hellbent on terrorizing our neighbors and instilling fear in immigrant communities. They should stop wearing masks, put on a uniform, and start wearing”
Nadler has represented New York’s 12th district in Congress since succeeding Ted Weiss in 1992 and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. Born in New York City in 1947 and currently residing in Manhattan at age 75, Nadler holds degrees from Columbia University (BA) and Fordham University (JD).
