Nadler’s remarks reflect his ongoing engagement with both domestic policy issues and international human rights concerns during his tenure representing New York’s 12th district. Having succeeded Ted Weiss in Congress in 1992 after serving in state government since 1977, Nadler is recognized for his legal background as well as his legislative experience.
