Rep. Jerry Nadler, who represents New York’s 12th district in the U.S. Congress, has raised concerns about the Trump Administration’s handling of Penn Station renovations and the status of federal anti-corruption teams in a series of posts on August 28, 2025.
In his first post at 16:02 UTC, Nadler stated, “Penn Station will never be Trump Station. I have long supported renovating and expanding Penn Station. But my constituents deserve full transparency, and so far, the Trump Administration has provided none. New Yorkers are right to be concerned. Nothing in Trump’s record shows https://t.co/6TXgYhe9Kd”.
A subsequent tweet posted at 16:02 UTC contained only a link: “https://t.co/tZKeVhO3Ib”.
Later that day at 17:39 UTC, Nadler commented on changes within federal law enforcement agencies since President Trump took office eight months prior: “Since Trump took office eight months ago, he has decimated the DOJ and FBI’s teams that investigate public corruption, firing attorneys and stripping its authority to open new cases. @SenWarren and I are demanding @AGPamBondi and @FBIDirectorKash answer for degrading the teams”.
Jerry Nadler has served as a member of Congress representing New York’s 12th District since 1992 after succeeding Ted Weiss. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. Born in New York City in 1947 and currently residing in Manhattan, Nadler graduated from Columbia University with a BA in 1969 and later earned a JD from Fordham University in 1978.
