Rep. Jerry Nadler, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 12th district since 1992, has recently used his social media platform to express concerns regarding both international and domestic issues, including Israeli government decisions and the conduct of the U.S. Department of Justice.
On February 10, 2026, Nadler posted about recent developments in Israel: “I am deeply concerned by the Israeli Security Cabinet’s decision yesterday, which even settler groups admit is tantamount to de facto annexation of the entire West Bank. The following day, on February 11, 2026, Nadler commented on what he described as politicization within the U.S. Department of Justice: “.@AGPamBondi is merely one of Trump’s soldiers. Trump has weaponized the DOJ, going after @NewYorkStateAG and his perceived political enemies. The DOJ no longer works for the American people, but for Donald Trump.”
Later that same day, Nadler criticized how the Department of Justice handled sensitive information related to Jeffrey Epstein’s case: “When the Epstein files were released, the DOJ didn’t redact the information of the victims, but it did for their abusers. @AGPamBondi refused to take accountability for how poorly the DOJ has handled the Epstein files. She refused to admit that the DOJ has not indicted a”.
Nadler’s statements come amid ongoing debates about U.S. foreign policy in Israel and longstanding concerns over transparency and accountability in high-profile legal cases involving public officials and political figures.
Jerry Nadler was born in New York City in 1947 and currently resides in Manhattan. He earned a BA from Columbia University in 1969 and a JD from Fordham University in 1978. Before serving in Congress since replacing Ted Weiss in 1992, Nadler served in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992.
