Rep. Jerry Nadler, a longtime U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 12th district, has used his social media platform to call for transparency regarding former President Donald Trump and to criticize Republican actions on health care policy.

On November 12, 2025, Nadler posted: “It’s clear as day: Trump is in the Epstein files. The American people deserve the full truth. @SpeakerJohnson can’t protect him anymore. Release the files.”

Later that same day, Nadler addressed health care issues in two separate posts. At 19:21 UTC, he wrote: “Republicans have had 11 months of total control of the federal government to fix this. Instead, they’ve done nothing but block Democrats from extending the ACA tax credits and lowering costs for millions of Americans.” In another post at the same time, he added: “If you’re one of the more than 22 million Americans facing a 114% spike in your ACA premiums, remember this:

Republicans voted last night to block an extension of the ACA tax credits, choosing foreign aid for Argentina over affordable health care for your family.”

Nadler has represented New York’s 12th district since replacing Ted Weiss in Congress in 1992 and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. He was born in New York City in 1947 and currently resides in Manhattan. Nadler graduated from Columbia University with a BA in 1969 and earned a JD from Fordham University in 1978.
