On December 14, 2025, following a shooting at Brown University that resulted in loss of life, Nadler posted: “I am heartbroken by the shooting and loss of life at Brown University. From Columbine to Sandy Hook, Parkland, Buffalo, Uvalde, and now”
Nadler has been active in national politics for decades; he succeeded Ted Weiss in Congress after serving in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. Born in New York City in 1947 and currently residing in Manhattan at age 75, Nadler graduated from Columbia University with a BA in 1969 and earned a JD from Fordham University in 1978.
