Rep. Jerry Nadler, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 12th district, posted several statements on his social media account on September 26, 2025, addressing concerns about Amtrak Police and legislative disagreements with the Trump Administration.

On September 26, 2025, Rep. Nadler wrote: “Today @SenatorHoylman, @LizKrueger, @TonySimone and I sent a letter to @Amtrak President Harris demanding Amtrak Police stop using discriminatory tactics to target and arrest the LGBTQ community.” In a subsequent post on the same day, he shared a link without additional comment: “https://t.co/jatUGC8XLo”.

Later that evening, Rep. Nadler commented on congressional proceedings related to government funding: “My colleague on the other side of the aisle is right. Why should Democrats support this continuing resolution when the Trump Administration is openly undermining Congress by cutting and withholding funds appropriated by law? Jerry Nadler has represented New York’s 12th District in Congress since 1992 after previously serving in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. He was born in New York City in 1947 and currently resides in Manhattan. Nadler earned his undergraduate degree from Columbia University and his law degree from Fordham University.
