Rep. Jerry Nadler, who represents New York’s 12th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several issues on November 13, 2025, through a series of posts on social media.

In his first post of the day, Nadler called for a pause on the Manhattan Cruise Terminal masterplan. He wrote: “.@bradhoylman, @LindaBRosenthal, and I are calling on @NYCEDC to pause the Manhattan Cruise Terminal masterplan.

There hasn’t been sufficient stakeholder and community involvement to move forward with the plan, and we must include the incoming Mayoral Administration.” (November 13, 2025)

Later that afternoon, Nadler criticized Republicans for their handling of ACA premium tax credits during their period of control over the federal government. He stated: “Republicans had more than 9 months of full control of the federal government to extend ACA premium tax credits and stop massive premium spikes before open enrollment began on 11/1.

In that time, they’ve gone from a “concept of a plan” to an “early ideation phase.”

That evening, Nadler commented on former President Donald Trump’s actions regarding cost reduction efforts and his relationship with the Justice Department. He posted: “At a time when Americans are desperate for Trump to give a damn about bringing down costs, all he seems to care about is twisting @TheJusticeDept into a weapon of political revenge against anyone who dared to hold him accountable.

Nadler has served in Congress since replacing Ted Weiss in 1992 and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. Born in New York City in 1947 and currently residing in Manhattan at age 75, Nadler holds degrees from Columbia University and Fordham University.
