Rep. Jerry Nadler, who has represented New York’s 12th district in the U.S. Congress since 1992, addressed several issues on his social media account on July 18, 2025.
In a post published at 16:51 UTC, Nadler commented on public safety and congestion pricing in New York City, stating, “New York City is the safest big city in America. Crime is down, on the streets and in the subway, thanks to the work of the NYPD. But @SecDuffy continues to lie about the facts because he doesn’t like congestion pricing. But I’ve got news for the Secretary, congestion pricing”.
Later that day at 17:41 UTC, Nadler marked an international anniversary with a remembrance message: “Today marks the 31st anniversary of the horrific AMIA bombing in Buenos Aires, Argentina. On this solemn day, we remember the 85 souls who were killed in a cowardly act of terrorism targeting the Jewish community. Earlier this week, I attended a Congressional remembrance”.
At 19:28 UTC, Nadler referenced recent legal developments involving former President Trump and FTC commissioners: “Just one day after a court ruled that Trump’s firing of FTC commissioners was illegal, I’m proud to see @RKSlaughterFTC already back at work fighting to make it easier for Americans to cancel unwanted subscriptions.”
Nadler has been active in Congress since replacing Ted Weiss in 1992 and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. He was born in New York City in 1947 and currently resides in Manhattan. Nadler holds degrees from Columbia University (BA) and Fordham University (JD).
