Rep. Jerry Nadler, who has represented New York’s 12th district in the U.S. Congress since 1992, made several public statements this week addressing labor rights, his future in office, and allegations concerning former President Trump and the Epstein files.

On September 1, Nadler marked Labor Day by emphasizing his support for workers and unions. He stated, “This Labor Day, we honor the generations of working people who built this country and the unions that won us safer workplaces, fair wages, and the weekend. I will always stand with workers and their unions. And I will continue fighting back against the Trump Administration’s”.

The following day, on September 2, Nadler shared an update regarding his political career: “My statement on the decision to not seek re-election next year: https://t.co/cNdhgWiW4g”.

On September 3, Nadler commented on ongoing controversies involving Donald Trump and documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. He wrote: “Trump is still doing everything he can to cover up the Epstein files. After responding late to a congressional subpoena with documents that were almost entirely already public, he’s now threatening Republicans who side with survivors by demanding the full release. Nadler has served as a member of Congress representing New York’s 12th district since succeeding Ted Weiss in 1992 and previously held a seat in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. Born in New York City in 1947, Nadler resides in Manhattan and holds degrees from Columbia University (BA) and Fordham University (JD).
