Rep. Jerry Nadler, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 12th district, recently made a series of statements on social media addressing various issues. His remarks included allegations against a lieutenant of Elon Musk and legislative efforts concerning climate change.

On February 7, 2025, Rep. Nadler commented on the resignation of one of Elon Musk’s young lieutenants. According to Nadler, this individual had “unlawfully accessed classified information and tapped into the private financial data of American citizens” and was exposed for “blatant racism.” The tweet can be found here.

Later that day, Rep. Nadler shared a link without additional commentary at this post.

In another statement on February 7, 2025, Rep. Nadler addressed the fossil fuel industry’s role in climate change. He stated that the industry “has been a major driver of the climate crisis” and should bear responsibility for its impacts rather than leaving it to taxpayers. He announced his reintroduction of the Polluters Pay Climate Fund Act alongside Rep. Judy Chu to hold the industry accountable for environmental damages as seen here.
