Rep. Jerry Nadler, a longtime member of Congress representing New York’s 12th district, recently posted several statements on his social media account addressing legislative developments and federal nominations.
On November 18, 2025, Nadler commented on the passage of a bill related to the Epstein files in the House of Representatives. He wrote, “Trump and @SpeakerJohnson spent months doing everything in their power to block the Epstein files bill from coming to the floor. It just passed the House 427–1 after Trump finally realized the American people won’t stand for his cover-up. Americans deserve to know why they”.
The following day, November 19, Nadler addressed Yehuda Kaploun’s nomination for a State Department role. In his post he stated, “Today @SenateForeign holds its hearing on Yehuda Kaploun’s nomination to serve as the @StateDept’s Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism. Yesterday, I led a letter opposing his nomination. When confronted by antisemitic rhetoric, Mr. Kaploun did not speak out against https://t.co/wka4p4jpZ6 https://t.co/38jioGBOfX”.
Later that same day, Nadler criticized former President Trump’s education policy proposals. He wrote, “Trump’s reckless plan to dismantle @usedgov puts millions of students at risk. Let me be clear: Trump has zero legal power to do this. Moving these offices is an unlawful end-run around Congress. I’m fighting to stop this attempt to tear down public education from within.”
Nadler has represented New York’s 12th district in Congress since 1992 after succeeding Ted Weiss and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 1977 until joining Congress. He was born in New York City in 1947 and resides in Manhattan. Nadler holds degrees from Columbia University and Fordham University.
