Rep. Jerry Nadler, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 12th district since 1992, addressed several key issues in recent posts on his official X account.

On November 10, 2025, Nadler criticized the latest Senate vote related to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), stating, “A Senate ACA vote is meaningless if the House won’t act. This terrible deal fails to protect millions of families from losing ACA subsidies and facing soaring premiums. And it does nothing to stop Trump from illegally withholding funds Congress enacted. I’ll be voting NO.”

Later that day, he highlighted progress on a legislative initiative: “Today, my West Bank Violence Prevention Act with @RepAdamSmith and @jahimes reached 100 cosponsors. We’re urging Chairman @RepBrianMast to hold a markup in service of improving conditions on the ground and achieving peace through a two-state solution.”

On November 11, 2025, Nadler marked Veterans Day by honoring those who have served: “Today, we honor every veteran who has served our nation with courage and dedication. As President Lincoln reminded us, our duty is ‘to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow, and his orphan.’ That commitment must remain at the heart of everything we do”.

Nadler has represented New York’s 12th district in Congress since replacing Ted Weiss in 1992. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. Born in New York City in 1947 and currently residing in Manhattan, Nadler graduated from Columbia University with a BA in 1969 and later earned a JD from Fordham University in 1978.
