The New York State Republican Party (NYGOP) has issued a statement regarding the arrest of Brad Lander. The statement criticizes Democrats for allegedly engaging in performative arrests to gain attention on social media and then portraying themselves as victims when faced with consequences.

The NYGOP specifically accused Brad Lander of obstructing a federal officer, stating that he was treated appropriately. The statement further claims that New York Democrats are negatively impacting the city and state while pretending to be revolutionaries.

David Laska, spokesman for the NYGOP, described the situation as a “clown show.”
