Ed Cox, chair of the New York Republican Party, issued a statement on the election of Zohran Mamdani. In his remarks, Cox criticized the Democratic Party and linked its members to Mamdani’s political positions.

“Zohran Mamdani is now the face of the Democratic Party. Americans must assume that any Democrat who does not explicitly say otherwise stands with Mamdani and his support of Islamic terrorism, Communism, and defunding the police.

“New Yorkers already know that Kathy Hochul does – and the Worst Governor in America will answer to voters for her support of this lunacy next November.”

Kathy Hochul has served as governor of New York since 2021 and is recognized as the state’s first female governor. She is a member of the Democratic Party (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kathy_Hochul).
