The New York Republican Party Chair, Ed Cox, issued a statement after the release of a recent poll indicating that Elise Stefanik would outperform Governor Kathy Hochul in a potential election matchup. The poll results come before Stefanik has formally announced her candidacy.

“A new independent poll shows Elise Stefanik beating Kathy Hochul, before Elise has even declared her candidacy.

“Under Kathy Hochul and one-party Democrat rule, New York has become the most taxed, most regulated, least free state in America. The message is clear: New Yorkers want change, and next year they’ll get it,” Cox said.

Kathy Hochul has served as the 57th governor of New York since 2021 and is recognized as the state’s first female governor. She is affiliated with the Democratic Party. More information about Governor Hochul can be found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kathy_Hochul.
