NYGOP Chair Ed Cox has issued a statement in response to the recent murder of two Israelis in Washington, D.C. The incident is described as an act of antisemitic violence by a pro-Palestinian terrorist.

Cox’s statement highlights what he perceives as a rising trend of radical, left-wing antisemitism in America, which he claims has become more emboldened and violent. He criticizes the Democratic Party for what he calls a “shameful moral collapse,” accusing them of defending elements within their ranks that promote hate against Jews.

According to Cox, “The murder of two Israelis in our nation’s capital last night is a horrific act of antisemitic violence, a hate-fueled terror strike carried out in the heart of our democracy.” He continues by asserting that the Democratic Party has tolerated or excused antisemitic violence through its silence and must take action against those who glorify Hamas and incite hatred against Israel.

Cox demands that Democrats expel members who are involved in such activities, stating, “There must be no moral equivocation. The Democratic Party must immediately and unequivocally expel from its ranks those who glorify Hamas, traffic in antisemitic tropes and incite hatred against Israel and the Jewish people.”

He concludes by affirming the Republican Party’s support for Israel and the Jewish community: “The Republican Party stands firmly and unapologetically with Israel, with the Jewish people and with every American who believes that hatred and terror have no place in our nation.”
