Niagara Falls man receives over eight years in prison for fentanyl distribution

Jermaine McQueen, a 47-year-old resident of Niagara Falls, New York, has been sentenced to 106 months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute more than 40 grams of fentanyl. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara, according to an announcement from U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy C. Lynch reported that law enforcement executed search warrants on August 28, 2024, at multiple locations linked to McQueen. Authorities seized roughly 405 grams of cocaine, about 300 grams of fentanyl, six grams of crack cocaine, drug packaging materials, $10,625 in cash, and several pieces of jewelry believed to be proceeds from narcotics trafficking. Controlled purchases of fentanyl and cocaine were also made by investigators during the case.

The investigation involved several agencies: the Federal Bureau of Investigation; the Niagara Falls Police Department; the Niagara County Sheriff’s Department; the North Tonawanda Police Department; the New York State Police; and the Erie County Sheriff’s Department.

“This sentencing is the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Acting Special Agent-in-Charge Mark Grimm, the Niagara Falls Police Department, under the direction of Superintendent Nick Ligammari, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Department, under the direction of Sheriff Michael Filicetti, the North Tonawanda Police Department, under the direction of Chief Keith Glass, the New York State Police, under the direction of Major Amie Feroleto, and the Erie County Sheriff’s Department, under the direction of Sheriff John Garcia,” stated officials in their announcement.
