The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has announced the launch of new digital advertisements featuring New York Representatives Nicole Malliotakis and Mike Lawler. These ads aim to highlight their support for making the Small Business Tax Deduction permanent.
The advertisements will be displayed throughout New York’s 11th and 17th Districts, focusing on the efforts of Rep. Malliotakis and Rep. Lawler in backing this tax deduction. This initiative is part of NFIB’s ongoing advocacy to ensure the permanency of the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction.
Additionally, the ads will include video testimonials from NFIB members, who will discuss how the deduction has enabled them to expand and invest in their businesses, as well as the potential impact if Congress does not act to make it permanent.
“Over the last seven years the Small Business Tax Deduction has helped America’s small businesses grow and hire,” said NFIB New York State Director Ashley Ranslow. “Rep. Nicole Malliotakis and Rep. Mike Lawler understand the importance of the Small Business Deduction and have been leading voices in Congress to make it permanent. With Congress currently considering sweeping tax legislation, we are hopeful that lawmakers act quickly and protect America’s small businesses from a massive tax increase.”
The Small Business Tax Deduction was initially introduced as part of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, allowing small business owners to deduct up to 20% of their qualified business income, thus providing them with a competitive edge against larger corporations.
