The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has launched new radio and digital advertisements to thank four New York congressional representatives for their support in making the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction permanent. The campaign targets districts represented by Rep. Nick LaLota (NY-01), Rep. Andrew Garbarino (NY-02), Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11), and Rep. Mike Lawler (NY-17).
The ads, which are part of NFIB’s ongoing advocacy for the Small Business Deduction, recognize these lawmakers for voting to secure the deduction and prevent a significant tax increase on small business owners in their districts.
“Making the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction permanent is a big win for Main Street,” said NFIB New York State Director Ashley Ranslow. “By voting to protect this tax relief, Representatives Nick LaLota, Andrew Garbarino, Nicole Malliotakis, and Mike Lawler have given small business owners in New York the certainty they need to grow their operations, continue creating jobs, and give back to their communities. NFIB appreciates their leadership in standing up for small businesses in our state.”
The deduction was originally introduced as part of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. It enables eligible small business owners to deduct up to 20% of qualified business income from their taxes, helping them compete more effectively with larger corporations.
