Michael Cashman has been elected to represent Assembly District 115, succeeding Billy Jones. The election was held on November 4 as part of New York’s legislative and mayoral races.

Several cities in New York saw changes in leadership following the mayoral elections. Zohran Mamdani will serve as Mayor of New York City. Sean Ryan, who previously represented Senate District 61, was elected Mayor of Buffalo. Sharon Owens will take office as Mayor of Syracuse, while Dorcey Applyrs was chosen as Mayor of Albany. Malik Evans secured re-election as Mayor of Rochester.
